This 8-day Kenya safari begins with arrival in Nairobi and a transfer to Samburu National Reserve, where you will enjoy your first game drive amid dramatic semi-arid landscapes and sightings of rare northern species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx. You will continue with a full day exploring Samburu before travelling to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos, rhinos, and Rothschild giraffes.
The journey then takes you to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve for thrilling game drives in search of the Big Five and other abundant wildlife across its vast savannahs. From there, you proceed to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing boat ride among hippos and birdlife before heading to Amboseli National Park, where large elephant herds roam against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. The safari concludes with an early morning game drive in Amboseli before returning to Nairobi for your departure to London, filled with unforgettable wildlife and scenic experiences.
Itinerary Details
1 - Arrival-Samburu
Pick up from Nairobi airport and depart to Samburu National Reserve located in the Northern Kenya arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game viewing in the reserve.
Samburu is famous for its truly wild semi-arid landscape, and the large concentration of wild animals and bird-life. Together with the adjoining Shaba and Buffalo Springs national reserves, Samburu is popular for hosting the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich) which are not found in the other popular parks and reserves in Kenya.
It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah and leopard), alongside other big game including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impala, water-buck and many others. Samburu is also a renowned bird watching haven, with hundreds of bird species resident here. These include kingfisher, bee-eaters, tawny eagle, guinea-fowll, yellow throated spur-fowl, lilac-breasted roller, red-billed horn bill, secretary bird, Verreaux’s eagle, superb starling, yellow-billed hornbill and vultures.The unique culture of The Samburu tribe who live in the region is the icing to cake for the amazing Samburu National Reserve.

2 - Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Naivasha, a journey of about 5 hours through the scenic Great Rift Valley, enjoying beautiful landscapes and breathtaking views along the way as you head towards the tranquil shores of Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at the lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
In the afternoon, enjoy a 1-hour boat ride on the calm waters of the lake, offering a wonderful opportunity to observe hippos and various bird species in their natural habitat. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

3 - Samburu-Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Nakuru with an enroute game drive arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy scenic views and wildlife sightings along the way as you journey towards the famous Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch and relaxation, proceed for an exciting afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is a world-renowned bird haven with over 400 bird species including flamingoes, pelicans, plovers, egrets, marabou stork, and ostriches among others. You are also likely to spot wildlife such as the endangered white and black rhinos and the rare Rothschild giraffe while exploring the park’s beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife habitats.

4 - Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will then embark on a journey heading to Masai Mara where you will first make a quick stop over at Narok town for those seeking to use the bathrooms, and then you will proceed straight to your lodge where you will check in as you get to have your lunch. Enjoy the scenic drive through the beautiful Kenyan countryside, passing local villages and stunning landscapes as you make your way towards the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.
After a siesta, you will then begin an afternoon game drive whereby your driver will help you to track down the nocturnal species as they do their hunting as it is the optimum time to see them easily as same as early in the morning. During the game drive, you may also spot a variety of wildlife including big cats, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes in their natural habitat. Later on, you will head back for your dinner after an exciting wildlife viewing experience in the reserve.

5 - Full day Mara
In the early morning we head into the Masai Mara National Reserve for game-viewing. Enjoy the cool morning air as you set out for an exciting safari experience across the vast open plains of the reserve, which is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife. We will look for a wide variety of Kenya’s animals great and small such as elephants, buffalo, giraffe and plains game and we will go in search of the big cats for which the Mara is famous. You may also encounter zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and numerous bird species as you explore different areas of the reserve. Return to the lodge late morning for rest and relaxation after the morning drive. In the afternoon we take another game drive, continuing the adventure with more wildlife viewing opportunities in a different part of the reserve, later returning for dinner at the lodge.

6 - Mara -Lake Naivasha
After breakfast checkout and Depart to Lake Naivasha which is about 5 hours drive. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with beautiful views along the way as you head towards Lake Naivasha.
Arrive in good time for lunch an check inn and take some time to relax at the lodge. In the afternoon engage in an 1 hour boat ride where you will enjoy the calm waters of the lake and observe hippos and various bird species in their natural habitat. Later return to the lodge for dinner.

7 - Lake Naivasha-Amboseli
After breakfast, depart to Amboseli which is about 5.5 hours drive. Enjoy a scenic journey through the countryside with views of local landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival, check-in to lodge, have lunch and take some time to relax before your afternoon safari in Amboseli. You can do game drives till about 6:00 PM, exploring the park and enjoying sightings of elephants, wildlife, and the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, before returning to your camp/lodge for a freshly prepared dinner.

8 - Amboseli → Nairobi → Departure to London
Wake up early in the morning and proceed to Amboseli for game drives around 6:15 AM. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast.
After breakfast, check out from camp and proceed to Nairobi to reach by around 3:00 PM.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight back to London, carrying unforgettable memories of your safari adventure.
